Players to Watch
Bengals
WR Jamarr Chase: The reigning rookie of the year had outstanding games versus Kansas City in his 2021 season. He had 266 recieving yards and three touchdowns in the regular season matchup and garnered another touchdown in the playoffs. Watch for him to have a big game.
TE Hayden Hurst: For the Bengals to win this game, they need huge contributions from Hurst. The Chiefs were a great defense in terms of shutting down opposing TE's. They allowed 25 yards per game and 0 TD's from TEs in the 2021 playoffs. Can Hurst break through?
Chiefs
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster: The former AFC North WR faces a familiar foe in the Bengals. In eight games against Cincinnati, JuJu has 36 catches for 336 yards and has scored 3 touchdowns. Not exactly insane numbers, but a big game could be in order.
LB George Karlaftis: With Joe Mixon causing terror in the backfield, the Chiefs needed a run stopper during the playoffs. This is why they got the "Greek Freak" Karlaftis who was one of the NCAA's best run stoppers during the 2021 season at Purdue.
Prediction
The Bengals have had the Chiefs number in just about every matchup. They have a potent offense that can keep up with Mahomes scoring ability and a very solid defense. I think this will be a high scoring affair with Burrow coming out on top
Score: Bengals 42 Chiefs 36

The playoff overtime win sends Burrow to his first Super Bowl
Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow may be younger and have a lower career pass rating, but Joe Burrow led his team past Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2021-2022 playoffs and earned his first trip to a Super Bowl.
After the game, Patrick Mahomes said to Joe Burrow, "Way to play, man.. Good luck my brother... Go win it all."
Oddsmaker BetMGM has the Kansas City Chiefs favored by twice as much over the Cincinnati Bengals to reach the Super Bowl in 2022. According to Joe Burrow, his best trait is his accuracy, saying "I would say my accuracy is probably the best thing that I can do. "
Joe Burrow on the edge Cincinnati has by living in Cincinnati
"We're a healthy team, which not a lot of people can say this far into the season. We've been lucky as far as injuries and COVID. We're doing a great job with our COVID protocols. Fortunately, there's not a ton to do in Cincinnati ... so nobody's going out to clubs and bars and getting COVID every weekend."
